    Brothers, Our next union meeting is scheduled for June 10th at 6:00 at the union hall.  Rob Larzalere and Mike Kubena have reached out to restart the food for our union meetings.  They will be cooking burgers and hot dogs starting at 4:00 so come early and enjoy some food.
       Members, The 32nd IUEC General Convention will be held in Las Vegas September 27 – October 1 this year.  The International is creating a commemorative convention book featuring all the locals.  Local 23 is gathering pictures of our officers, writing a paragraph about our local and looking for some pictures for our pages in the book.

    ARTICLE VI Holidays Par. 1. The following shall be designated as paid holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans’ Day, Thanksgiving Day, the Friday after Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Par. 2.
    I have received several inquiries into the Oregon Work Share Program recently.  This program is a long-standing program through Oregon unemployment to assist those workers receiving reduced hours.  To date, of the four major elevator companies, I have signed applications for two of them.  Note: The state requires the unions signature on the application filled out by the employer.

    Subject: Schindler 3300 belt/sheave replacements Brothers There have been a few issues with the Schindler 3300 product when teams are replacing belt’s and sheaves. Teams may not have been following the company procedures and in some instances, the teams have not received the procedures.
